"Coach Dave's" Nostalgic Revue

"Coach Dave" Laprise began entertaining as a musician and band leader more than 50 years ago, and for many years made his living as a professional musician and music teacher. He left the music business for several years to work at a new vocation, as a vendor selling merchandise at running and triathlon expos. While continuing in this endeavor, his desire to once again play music and entertain resurfaced and he worked for more than two years re-defining his musical abilities.

Dave does not play "stereotype" accordion but has a unique style. Not only does he play melodies and jazz choruses with his right, keyboard hand, he plays the left hand buttons like a stand up bass, a technique few accordionists have mastered.  He has recently added an electronic keyboard and drum machine thus creating a full spectrum of sounds.  His accordion refuses to play polkas or "Lady of Spain." He will play  big band music, old standards, light jazz, a little country, and a little rock n' roll. Dave travels around America in a motor home and may be in an area near you. He has entertained at many different venues playing for home parties or small concerts. The Nostalgia Revue is up to  90 minutes of music, fun, and pleasant memories.
